Frequently Asked Questions
Get answers to common questions about office relocation, commercial moving services, packing, storage options, insurance, scheduling, and business move logistics.
Will you protect our office during the move?
Yes. We place masonite on all heavy-traffic or sensitive areas, along with door jamb protectors and cardboard sheeting on high-traffic walls.
Can you organize logistics for our new building?
Yes. We can assist with speaking to your current and new building manager to book elevators, loading docks, parking, and security.
How do you estimate moves?
After you contact us, we arrange an appointment for a move manager to visit your building, review special requirements, and assess the scope of the move.
We then create a detailed quote outlining expected costs and time estimates. Most quotes are rough estimates and may vary depending on site conditions and other factors. Firm quotes are usually higher to account for unforeseen circumstances.
This is our first move. Can you help us plan?
Absolutely. Your move manager will work with you and your staff to plan every stage of the move. In the weeks leading up to the relocation, we help organize the process in detail and coordinate with your team to put that plan into action.
Do you offer packing services?
Yes. We can pack as much or as little as you would like. During your initial meeting, packing can be discussed and included in the quote if needed.
We can also help with labeling systems, materials, responsibilities, and staff instructions to streamline the move.
Is it better to move during the day or overnight?
Overnight is often best if your building allows it. Reduced traffic, better elevator access, easier parking, and less congestion often make the process more efficient and can reduce total costs.
Can you move us over the weekend?
Yes. Many office moves are completed over the weekend and after hours to minimize downtime. Smaller moves often begin Sunday after hours and are completed by Monday morning.
Do you have storage?
We do not own dedicated storage facilities, but we have strong relationships with large storage providers and can help connect you with suitable storage options.
Are we insured against broken items?
Yes. We assume full liability on items handled by our movers that suffer damage, provided they are packed correctly.
Do you employ day labourers?
No. All our movers, drivers, and labourers are full-time employees and are fully covered with WCB.
Every team member is trained extensively and held to strict hiring standards.
How do the movers know where to put everything in our new building?
Your move manager works with you to create a comprehensive labeling system. Color-coded labels identify floors and rooms, and room drawings are posted outside each space so movers can place furniture and equipment quickly and accurately.
Will the move be finished on time?
Once your quote is finalized and your move date is set, we do everything possible to complete the move on time. We often work around the clock in shifts to minimize downtime.
How do you move computers?
We use special carpeted dollies that can carry multiple computers securely at once. We also often coordinate with your IT department to disconnect and reconnect systems.
Do you move servers or data centers?
Yes. These relocations are carefully planned for quick transfer and minimal downtime. Our most experienced crew members oversee server and data center moves.
